Arbitration and Mediation

Arbitration

Arbitration is the final settlement of disputes between parties through the intermediation of a third party, called an arbitrator, rather than through state courts, provided that the arbitration is within the scope of matters authorized by law.

Mediation

It is a structured dispute resolution process in which third parties are brought together to negotiate and communicate with the parties in order to reduce the intensity of the courts, with the parties having the authority to decide on the solution and the third parties having the authority to make recommendations or decisions regarding the process.
